Reviews
I discovered the effe-01 while watching the IIWI channel on YouTube. By coincidence, I happened to be looking for an Ethernet filter at the time. Everything the reviewer on the IIWI channel says is absolutely true. However, I would add that what really struck me was the instrument separation on complex acoustic music, as well as an improvement in timbre—particularly with wind instruments. The effe-01 has brought a genuine upgrade to my system. Needless to say, I highly recommend the effe-01.
I was expecting only a small improvement in sound quality.
I have to say the difference in sound quality is night and day.
The effe runs to a Wim Ultra, then via USB to an Aune s9c pro. The Aune is word clocked with an SC1.
Then, rather surprisingly (via XLRs) to 2 monoblocks - each a Fosi V3. The monoblocks have all the op amps rolled off for Sparkos SS3602s. These power Q Accoustic 5020 speakers.
The whole system is plugged into an IFI power conditioner.
The result is an stunning.
I’m very very pleased with the improvements.
It is a major up-grade. It is a no brainer gamechanger.
Until now in my system CD’s still sounded better then streaming,
not any more ;-)

Audio streaming in my home worked already very well, thanks to a good internet speed. Adding the Effe brings a slight improvement in every aspect of sound… everything is a bit cleaner, more focused and layered, but I wouldn't say it's a priority when building up a hifi system. I like its simple design and cool operation.
The effe-01 has not only made significant improvement to the body and purity of my Qobuz music streaming, but also to the soundstage perspective and sense of recording venue.
